Instruments of Assessment (IA's) - Complete Course
1) Satisfactory completion of all individual unit-assessments as listed above
2) Satisfactory completion of a Thematic Presentation Folio which is externally assessed.
3) Final examination

Student Activities Throughout Course
1) Compiling a folio of prescribed drawing exercises designed to satisfy all learning outcomes in TG1,TG2 and CG
2) Sitting end-of-unit tests for Technical Graphics 1&2, and Computer Graphics
3) Compiling a Thematic Presentation (TP) folio on an appropriate theme of own choice, containing preliminary, production and presentational drawings. Some drawings from this folio may replace drawings in item 1 (see above) provided that performance criteria (PC's) are fully met therein. The TP may be regarded as a 4th unit of the course in addition to TG1&2 and CG. The work in this folio is predominantly computer-generated.
4) Passing a final exam.

Note:
All students will be provided with quality teaching and tutorial materials to supplement their lessons. They are expected to take a high level of responsability a) to keep themselves fully informed about the requirements of the course, b) to monitor their own progress through the units and c) for the organisation and safekeeping of their work. Upon completion, each piece of work should be presented to the teacher at the earliest opportunity for grading or for advice on improvement. It is not possible to complete all the coursework within timetabled class time, therefore students will find themselves doing work at home or, by arrangement,  within the department during study periods, lunchtimes or after school.
