I am thinking of taking Technological Studies next year but am am not sure if I will be successful at Higher, what options are there for me?

Answer:-
Although Technological Studies is being offered as a new Higher Still Higher students who are having difficulty performing at that level will be able to default to Intermediate 2.
So you could attempt the higher with the firm option of an Intermediate 2 award.
You will be allowed to change to Intermediate 2 after the first two units (in December) if you are not achieving higher outcomes.

LO3 Develop a control sequence & use it  to control a mechatronic system, by  means of a microcontroller.
LO4 Develop a monitoring system, based  on a microcontroller, & evaluate its  performance.

LO1 Apply the conditions of static
equilibrium in solving problems on  concurrent force & non-concurrent  force systems.
LO2 Apply the conditions of static
equilibrium in solving problems on  simple framed structure systems.
LO3 Use & interpret data from a tensile  test in studying properties of
materials.
LO4 Produce a specification for a
structural component.

LO1 Critically analyse the development of an existing solution to a given
problem.
LO2 Produce a report of approximately  2000 words
